The Reef Octopus In Sump 10" Protein Skimmer is a high-quality protein skimmer designed for well-stocked tanks up to 250 gallons, medium-stocked tanks up to 475 gallons, and light-stocked tanks up to 600 gallons. It has a footprint of 16.5" x 11" and a height of 24", and is recommended for a water height of 7"-8.5". The skimmer comes with a controllable VarioS DC pump that can process more or less water depending on your setup. The VarioS-6 DC pump is highly efficient and controllable, allowing you to fine-tune the skimmer for optimal performance on your specific aquarium system. The skimmer is designed with a hybrid cone shape and a high volume air intake for superior performance, and features a safety overflow float switch for the cup, quiet operation, and a solid construction for long-lasting durability. Additionally, the skimmer is constructed with high-quality cast acrylic and can be easily disassembled for cleaning, with a body drain for convenient maintenance. The VarioS-6 DC pump is Apex Ready and has a detachable controller with a waterproof union.
